Description

We are proud to announce that we will have Galvanzie Action as our speaker for our February Member Meeting. Galvanize Action is a nationally recognized firm that connects with moderate women to build a broader base for progress and an America that works for everyone. Their presentation, From Insight to Impact: What Moderate Women Are Telling Us & Where We Go Next, will cover how ideologically-moderate women experienced the social, cultural, and political landscape this year and what they need to play an active role in supporting our democracy and each other. Get ready to learn how they feel about the current administration, what their “red lines” are, and how their daily struggles impact their civic engagement.

Jackie Payne is the Founder and Executive Director of Galvanize USA, Galvanize Action, and the One For All Committee, where she is connecting with moderate women to promote civic engagement, combat disinformation, and increase prosocial, pro-democracy behavior. She has developed specific expertise with women in suburban, rural, and small town communities, and with white women—the single largest voting bloc in this country. Working at the intersection of data science, behavioral psychology, and neuroscience to engage moderate women, her efforts are effectively moving this audience to strengthen their support on key issues—providing a necessary complement to the work being done by and for communities of color—to build a thriving, multiracial democracy.

Jackie has three decades of experience leading organizations and working to advance gender, racial, and economic justice. Prior to founding Galvanize USA and Galvanize Action, Jackie designed and ran a national movement-building project for the NoVo Foundation. In this role, she partnered with an extraordinary team of racial and gender justice leaders to develop an intersectional approach to ending violence against girls and women. She previously championed reproductive justice as the Director of Government Relations for Planned Parenthood Federation of America and economic justice as a Legal Aid lawyer and as Policy Attorney for the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund. Jackie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan. She is a trustee of the Patsy Takemoto Mink Foundation and on the board of the Women and Justice Project.
