Description

We are exciteed to promote our first SIGN MAKING PARTY to complement our substantive meeting during which we will hear from our November BVSD school board candidates and about various local ballot measures. Together, we will make signs for the No Kings protest on October 18, 2025. Please bring posterboards, cardboard, glue, markers and stencils, if you have them. We will have only limited supplies for the sign making party. While we are making our signs, we will hear from November BVSD school board candidates and Commissioner Claire Levy on the Mental Health Ballot measure.

We will also hear from Jarrek Holmes of Trust Brigade PAC regarding Deep Canvassing in CD8.

Trust Brigade: Deep Canvassing to Flip CO-08
Trust Brigade is a year-round organizing project focused on Colorado’s most competitive congressional district: CO-08. In 2024, this seat was the second-closest in the nation lost to a Republican - by just 2,500 votes. The district is 40% Latino and nearly one in three residents rely on Medicaid, making it both diverse and economically vulnerable. Families here have been directly harmed by the Republican Party’s short-sighted, self-serving policies. Flipping CO-08 is essential if we’re going to take back control of the House in 2026.

The strategy is deep canvassing: one of the most effective persuasion tools ever studied. It’s built on structured, face-to-face conversations rooted in personal storytelling, proven to shift opinions and boost turnout in lasting ways.

Please join us at 5.30PM for networking with members, candidates and elected officials and 6PM for the program.

We look forward to seeing you all on October 15, 2025, at the Avalon Ballroom at 5:30 pm. Please register by the Monday before the event if you plan to attend in person so that we can order the appropriate amount of food and drink for our attendees.

The walk-in fee on the day of the meeting is $10 more that the pre-registration fee.

See you soon!
