Our Annual visit to the Capitol is coming up soon! Your DWBC membership entitles you to join us to visit our state representatives and senators. Make sure to reserve your spot soon to talk with our legislators and advocate for bills and issues that interest you.

DWBC will host an advcacy training on Zoom on February 22, 2025, at 9:30 am. During the training, we will show you how to inform your legislators what you expect of them regarding certain bills and other issues important to DWBC and you. DWBC will have a brochure available for you on the day of the event containing information about our organization and the bills we are supporting or opposing this session.

Please RSVP to info@demwomenboco.org for the training and register for the Captiol visit as you would a regular meeting, which is FREE with your membership.

Logistics: 

7:00 am - Meet at Safeway at 28th and Araphoe to carpool to the Capitol

8:00 am - Go to Room 354 where our legislators will debrief us on current status of bills 

9:00 am - visit the Senate Chamber

9:30 am - visit with legislators who did not meet us in the morning ourside ofthe Chambers or in the offices

10:45 am - Room 136 special meeting

11:00 am - tour of the capitol or committee meetings

12:15 pm - walk over to Maggiano's on 16th Street Mall for lunch (12:30 reservation)

1:00 pm - Phil Weiser will join us to provide details on current issues he is covering

1:45 pm  - walk back to cars and return to Boulder
